Thomas and Sienna were alone that night. As they celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary, they reflected on the many wonderful times they’ve enjoyed and exchanged vows to continue doing so.
They were all set to snap the traditional family portrait to put on the mantel, but as the shutter clicked, Sienna thought she heard a whisper in the corridor. Thomas reassured her it was nothing, embraced her, and they grinned for another snapshot commemorating their year together.
Little did Sienna know that sharing the picture on social media would set in motion a chain reaction of unfathomable events.
The next morning, she was startled awake by the din of pinging. Countless alerts flooded her phone, prompting her to reach for it. The majority of the comments were anniversary wishes, but a few folks couldn’t stop questioning whose face was in the photo’s backdrop.
Sienna discovered that the photo they had shot the night before did, in fact, include a face after giving it a closer look. Even when she informed Thomas, he said it was just a shadow masquerading as a face.
