Cheese, Beef and Potato Soup
Add minced garlic and chopped onion to melted butter in the same saucepan, and sauté for a few minutes. To soften and release its aroma, cook the onion for three to four minutes.
Put chopped potatoes, garlic powder, onion powder, and beef stock in a saucepan and cook until potatoes are tender. After the potatoes are soft, decrease the heat and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
To make the cheesy soup, combine the milk and flour in a small dish and whisk until a paste forms. Add this mixture to the soup slowly while whisking, and continue cooking for another 5 minutes to thicken. Add sour cream and shredded cheddar cheese; stir until sour cream melts and soup thickens.
Then, add the ground beef and mix to incorporate. Return the cooked ground beef to the saucepan. Simmer for a few further minutes to combine flavors, then season with salt and pepper as desired.
Present and Savor:
Spoon the beef and potato soup into individual bowls and top with a sprinkle of fresh chives or parsley. For a satisfying dinner, pair with some crusty bread.
