Ingredients:

10 ripe figs (fresh or dried)
1 cup water
Juice of half a lemon (optional)
1 teaspoon honey (optional, for an extra touch of sweetness)
A pinch of cinnamon (optional)
Instructions:

Preparation of figs: if you use fresh figs, wash them thoroughly and then remove the stalk. If you use dried figs, let them soak in water for a few hours before preparing the drink to soften them.

Preparation: Cut the figs into smaller pieces (if you use dried ones, make sure they are soft enough). Put them in a blender together with the water. Blend until smooth.

To flavor: If you want to make the drink more refreshing, add lemon juice. For a sweeter version, you can add honey. Mix everything well.

Filtering (optional): If you don’t like thick drinks, you can strain the juice through a sieve to remove any remaining peels or seeds.

Cold: If you prefer a cold drink, place the fig elixir in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before serving.
