I make strawberry jam only according to this recipe, I don’t look for others: the strawberry flavour and aroma are preserved. And without thickener it turns out thick.

  1. Strawberries – 2kg
  2. Sugar – 1 kg (a little more if you like sweet jam)
  3. Rinse the strawberries quickly under running water and pat dry.
  4. Cover the strawberries with sugar and let them sit overnight.
  5. In the morning, place a bowl of strawberries on low heat and bring to a boil.
  6. Skim off foam and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
  7. Let the jam cool completely.
  8. Repeat the cooking and cooling process 2 to 3 times.

Pour the boiling jam into sterilized jars and seal them tightly. Do not cover the jars with a thick cloth so that the berries do not overheat and continue cooking.

Here is a simple recipe that I have followed for many years. I recommend everyone to try it and enjoy the fragrant strawberry jam all year round!
