To be honest, I was not ready to find such a lot of oil and dirt emerging from those vents. This is one of my most chosen cleaning techniques as it is so easy. I discovered this strategy here at One Good Thing by Jillee, and ever since then, I have been absolutely enthralled by it.
These are so my criteria before we start: Irresponsible! One can see the collected amount of grime and grease. The sheer thought of that person stooping over my food while I was cooking made my stomach turn with contempt.

You will want two items to do this: some baking soda and a big pot. Should you have non-clinging pots and pans, you will either have to borrow or buy a stainless steel pan. You really should keep this very, very important thing in mind. I choose to buy one to keep and maintain only for cleaning needs.
In the large saucepan, the water should be boiling. Should it be rolling boil, you should add some baking soda. I apologies; still, the measurement depends on the water you have used; I do not have an exact one for you. Though you shouldn’t be worried, the water in your glass is fizzing. You find this fascinating! Add the baking soda slowly to avoid it bursting straight over the top of the saucepan. Should it not fizz, further baking soda should be applied. You will need a pair of tongs to arrange the filters into your pot.

The water is boiling and the oil is starting to come off in these pictures.

I decided to just drop mine in and let them settle for about sixty-seconds. I was able to do the work really quickly as my stove vent had incredibly little filters. Your size will determine whether you have to finish half of it then turn it over and finish the other half.

Look at all of the grease! Ohno!

One out of the way, let’s examine the before and after of the matter. They seem to be brand fresh! Knowing that they are not seated on top of my food while I am cooking it helps me to relax and enjoy my time in the kitchen. Furthermore, I may suppose that the dirt and grease in your house might create non-essential smells.

About the second filter, I didn’t see the need of emptying the water. It only just adding more baking soda to the mixture to achieve that fizz. And after everything is said and done, they both seem brand fresh and are totally spotless!

Now, your pot probably looks a little worse for wear and tear; however, cleaning it is easy. Removing the dirt should be somewhat easy as it does not attach to the edges very tightly. Conversely, I highly advise you to discard this foul water in the backyard in an area not easily accessible for either kids or animals. I am allowing this to be stated solely as I did not want to toss the oil down my drain and have it cover my pipes. The way you want to dispose of this water is totally personal; nevertheless, I would advise against emptying it down the drain or anywhere else not allowed by the local authorities.

That sums everything up. Completing the work from start to finish took less than 10 minutes! Your should be as basic as mine was, truly!
