This dish is my weakness; it always leaves me wanting more

A 1.5-pound package of skinless, boneless chicken breasts
– 4 sliced carrots – 4 sliced celery stalks – 1 chopped onion – 6 cups of chicken broth – 1 cup of quick rice
— Minced garlic, three cloves
Ingredients: – Juiced and zest of one lemon – One teaspoon of dried thyme
2-Chunks of salted butter, 2 teaspoons
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh parsley.
Instructions:
Step 1: Put everything into a slow cooker: chicken, broth, onion, carrots, celery, garlic, lemon zest, juice, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Combine with the butter pieces. Mix thoroughly.
2. Place the slow cooker lid on top and simmer on low heat for 6-8 hours or high heat for 4-6 hours, or until the chicken is done and the rice is soft.
3. Shred the chicken (you can do this outside of the slow cooker if you like) and return it with about 30 minutes remaining. Incorporate the short-grain rice. Add 30 more minutes of cooking time on high heat.
Fourth, serve the soup in dishes and top with sprinkles of fresh parsley.
5. This Slow Cooker Lemon Chicken & Rice Soup is a cozy dish that is best enjoyed when served hot.
So, my dear reader, why not save this recipe and make it your default soup recipe for when you’re craving a bowl of satisfying and revitalizing goodness?
