Foamy urine shows that you are consuming too much protein, but it can also be a sign of kidney disease.
You should be concerned and consult your doctor if:
– cannot control the need to urinate
– is urinating more than usual and without increasing fluid intake
– have difficulty urinating
– you are urinating less than usual
– wakes up several times during the night to urinate
– urinates only small amounts at a time
– feels pain when urinating
Typically, a drastic change in urine color is caused by something you consumed during the day.
However, if they are frequent (even without a dietary reason) and one or more of these symptoms occur, contact your doctor as soon as possible so they can explain the changes to you.
