This recipe is even better than the restaurant version, my hubby loves it

4 breasts of boneless chicken, diced into small pieces
half a cup of cornstarch
half a teaspoon of salt
a quarter of a teaspoon of Black Pepper
Veggie oil, 2 teaspoons
a half cup of chicken broth
1/3 cup of soy sauce
Reserving 1/4 cup of rice vinegar
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
1/2 cup of brown sugar
2 tablespoons of garlic, minced
ginger, minced, 1 teaspoon
Recipients for the red pepper flakes:
For garnish, you may use sliced green onions if desired.
Sesame seeds, if desired, for decoration
Here are the directions:
1 Combine the chicken, cornstarch, pepper, salt, and a big bowl.
2. In a big skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. After three to five minutes, add the chicken and simmer until it becomes brown.
Step3: Place the chicken in a slow cooker.
4. Combine the chicken broth, sugar, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes in a separate bowl. Add the soy sauce and brown sugar.
5. Once the chicken is in the slow cooker, pour the sauce over it.
6. Cook for 4 hours on low heat or 2 hours on high heat.
7. Top with rice and, if preferred, add green onions and sesame seeds as garnishes.
Slow cooker General Tso’s Chicken is a healthy alternative, yet it tastes great!
