1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups mini pretzels or pretzel sticks
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and mix in the sugar carefully. Stir continuously until the mixture comes to a gentle boil.
Add the vanilla extract and salt to the saucepan, continuing to stir for about 3–4 minutes until the mixture thickens to a toffee-like consistency.
Remove the saucepan from heat and quickly pour the toffee mixture over the pretzels in a large bowl.
Toss the pretzels until they are evenly coated with the toffee sauce.
Spread the toffee-coated pretzels onto the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 8–10 minutes, watching carefully to ensure they don’t burn.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces and serving.
